Music Video

I enjoyed the video making progress. My group worked efficiently. We worked through a little bit of infighting to choose the song though. We figured out the idea of the music video within one class period. We figured out the other details in the next consecutive class periods. If I was to do this project again, i would choose the same group. The only thing that I could change is my foot. I was not able to record in a lot of the scenes because the medical boot I have to wear is either too bulky or I would have gotten sand in it. Overall, the project went well. I would definitely choose the same group as well

Editing 2

My group is done editing. We need to make sure that the editing is good. The first scene is a record player that Ayden edited in. the video then starts. Sydni Slaps Trevor. The video plays in the background of the music. The song and music are almost perfectly overlapped. This makes it so that the video is portraying the lyrics. The Following scene needed to edit Ayden's voice out. Then the video of Trevor driving was good. The next few scenes needed to be filtered so that they looked like memories. There were three scenes that needed the filters. Then, we had Trevor run. we had to cut from him running in the parking lot, to him on the beach. Then, we had to have him collapse from running. Then, he looks up. This is when we cut to Sydni. Then, we cut to them walking. They are also holding hands. Then, the video ends

Editing

Today, we started our film editing. When we filmed, we had many short clips. Some were on the beach, some in the car, and some at home. The final product may be different. We thought about which locations portray the idea behind the song the best. we thought about which clips have the best lighting, and which have the best quality. We recorded videos some videos in the car. It was difficult because we had to keep moving, so finding the right house/ setting to drive by was difficult. We also could not decide whether he would bang his hands on the steering wheel or rest his head down. The next scene was where Sydni slapped Trevor. This took multiple takes because they kept laughing. They eventually got it though. We filmed one scene where Sydni stormed out, and that did not need any retakes. Lastly, Trevor and Sydni recorded a couple videos of them at the Miami Dolphins game. We are almost done collecting the right clips. Tomorrow, we will trim and edit sound. Any transitions that we nee

Filming 2

For our roles, Ayden was the brains. He wrote the script. He did most of the song choosing. He did the storyboard. He was the cameraman. He made sure that people were in the right place. he made sure people were doing the right thing. And made sure they were doing them at the right time. Trevor was the main character. He also helped with the song selection. he gave input on the storyboard. And he gave input on the story. He was the main character in the film. And he also was the only one that could drive. Sydni was the secondary character. She helped with the idea. With the storyboard. And the song.I helped with almost everything. I was not able to film thought.

The song we are doing is "Pursuit of Happiness" by Kid Cudi. The song is about a man who is searching for happiness and taking different approaches to do so. We wanted to embody this by representing the song with our video. The video starts off with the main character (Trevor) breaking up with his girlfriend (Sydni). She then runs out the door. Trevor is then driving in his car. He is sad. He thinks of the times that he was with her. He remembers them talking. He also remembers when they went to a football game. He gets out of the car and starts running. He runs until he is tired. He looks up. And when he sees Sydni, they run to each other. They hold hands, and the video ends. These are the scenes that we filmed. We had to record the scenes multiple times. They messed up sometimes. They laughed and broke character sometimes. Hopefully, we can fix it during editing.

For this music video, my group chose the song "Pursuit of Happiness" by Kid Cudi. The song is Hip Hop/RB. The song is very different from other songs in the genre. The song deals with sadness, and the eventual capturing of happiness. There is only a hand full of songs that we found that were similar. In the music videos, they wear formal attire because they are at a dinner party. The props include plates, candles, chairs, and a table for them to sit at. the people in the video are non-expressive in their emotions, but the artist is visibly discontent with the party. The score of the video is the song They use close-ups, panning shots, and tracking shots. There are many lyrics from the song that are represented in the video There are little to no conventions and codes in the music video. The entire video is live-action. There are many different shots in the video. The most shown is a medium shot of the artist at a dinner table singing the song.  The only logos in the song is
