Production Blog: Editing Two

  Today we finished the editing process. We started off by reviewing the plan that we made that I shared in the previous blog. This plan included watching the film. We then had to listen for any unwanted noise. We then looked for any unwanted objects. . And then we had to decide where and when we wanted to add the title of the movie. Wyatt shared all the clips that we had in our group chat, and we decided which ones we wanted to stitch together to make the film. At this point, Wyatt and I cut out the parts of the clip when the camera was still rolling, but there was no dialogue or anything else that is important to the film. I did this so that we would not take up unwanted time. Once everything was stitched together, we knew how much time we had leftover to add in the title, names of the production companies, Director, etc. At this point, Wyatt started to remove any unwanted objects that were in our film. Filming Pt 2

  Today in class, our group finished filming for our project. We went to the media center and recorded our final segments. After that, we went out to the field to help some classmates film their project. Their project was on converse shoes and they used many shots showing how versatile they are. In one of the shots that I helped them record, Sydni held a football while Lily kicked it. Lilly's kick was way off, but the shot was only of her foot hitting the ball and not about where the ball went. While filming, we discussed with the other group different techniques and styles to use while filming. Once done with helping them, we talked about how we could improve our commercial. we stayed outside for at least an hour. It got to a point where we could not bear the heat any longer. We headed back inside and finalized the selection of shots to keep. We will edit the commercial next class.

Intro Blog (2022/23)

  Welcome back. My  name is Denton and I am in 11th grade. I am 16 years old and I enjoy basketball, sailing, and traveling. I am a fan of the Los Angeles Clippers, but my favorite team is the Miami Heat. My favorite places that I’ve traveled to are Canada, Mexico, California, and Maine. My favorite subjects are art and history. I enjoy almost any activity that has to do with the ocean. Sailing, swimming, surfing, and diving are my favorites. Ironically, the ocean is the scariest thing I can think of. The unexplored and unknown as well as what we don't know about the ocean makes it the most other-worldly place I have ever been. But the real question is; why did I pick AICE Media Studies A level? First and foremost, I chose this class to expand upon last year's class.
