  Throughout my school career, I have always been torn over whether or not to be in a group. When I was younger, I used to find being in a group annoying because I would have to worry about my group mates as well as my own work. What I’ve realized now is that working in a group is almost always easier. This class focuses a lot on filming and editing. When filming, it is almost always easier to have someone there to help you. While someone is acting, it is beneficial to have a dedicated camera person to make movements with the camera. As well as this, it is nice to have someone to point out anything wrong with the action as it plays along. Also, in most scenes, you will need more than one actor. Also during the film process, you will need a director to make sure everyone knows what they are doing. It is always better to have more helping hands. After the filming is done, you need at least one person to edit. You might also need the rest of the people in the group to share their input on

  My name is Denton Greenleaf and I am in 10th grade. Currently, I go to Fort Lauderdale high school. I am 15 years old. My favorite sport is basketball, but I am also a fan of football and soccer. I love to travel. My favorite country that I have been to outside of the United States is Mexico because of its fascinating architecture, delicious cuisine, and unique traditions. I also enjoy photography and filmmaking. Because of that, I decided that I wanted to take AICE Media Studies. I also think that this class is a good way for me to get my AICE diploma and hopefully set myself apart from some of the other students in my grade. I really enjoy listening to music. My favorite genre is hip-hop/rap but I also enjoy listening to rock ‘n’ roll. I hope that media studies will help my understanding of filming techniques.
