Pitch Blog
For our opening movie sequence, we have come up with two ideas that we had to pick between. Our first idea was a murder story, and our second idea was a monster story.
Pitch 1- Murder
Alone in the building, a man paces, could the threats be true, and could tonight be his last?
Why we would choose pitch one:
This film would be interesting to make because of the idea of it being in multiple locations in a small period of time. This film would also be interesting because there would be a lot of angles that could be used to show the setting and give it a creepy, uneasy vibe. We would also have fun working with the costumes and lighting to figure out what is best for our film. However, getting the settings to ourselves could pose a challenge. Also getting the lighting right could be difficult due to the resources we have available.
Pitch 2
Alone at night, the night guard roams, darkness consuming everything around him, but could something else soon consume him?
This pitch would work well because it offers a great opportunity for a cliffhanger. This is important because it will make the watcher want more. The topic of what goes bump in the night has long fascinated audiences. Therefore, this would captivate their attention. This pitch would also allow us to explore the limits of lighting and costumes.
