Production Blog: Filming Two

Today was the second day of filming. As we got most everything done the other day, we did not do much. First, we looked at the other film. We analyzed the lighting, angles, and any other imperfections. When we re-did these, we noticed some issues. First, we looked at the lighting. We wanted to have the fire be the main point of light, but it did not offer enough light for our film. Because of this, we decided to hide lights around the scene in order to illuminate the characters more. Next, we looked at the camera angles. We noticed that our camera angles were bland and uniform. We decided to try to implement other angles. We will eventually look into the angles when we edit. During that, we will choose which angles work and will keep. Lastly, we looked at miscellaneous problems. We noticed things like crooked cameras and things that we did not want in the scene. The crooked camera can be changed by re-orienting the film in editing software. Other, physical things can be dealt with by moving them and re-shooting.  We had a short time period to reflect on the original recordings and find issues. Most of the issues were resolved by re-shooting. Now that we solved most of the issues, we will edit anything else soon.
