Group Blog

Throughout my school career, I have always been torn over whether or not to be in a group. When I was younger, I used to find being in a group annoying because I would have to worry about my group mates as well as my own work. What I’ve realized now is that working in a group is almost always easier. This class focuses a lot on filming and editing. When filming, it is almost always easier to have someone there to help you. While someone is acting, it is beneficial to have a dedicated camera person to make movements with the camera. As well as this, it is nice to have someone to point out anything wrong with the action as it plays along. Also, in most scenes, you will need more than one actor. Also during the film process, you will need a director to make sure everyone knows what they are doing. It is always better to have more helping hands. After the filming is done, you need at least one person to edit. You might also need the rest of the people in the group to share their input on how to make the project better. Post production is the issue that I I was scared of the most because I have a little to no editing skills. I will not let this hold me back though. Luckily, I found a group that can. Truthfully, I have only met one of the people before today, but after talking to them I believe that I can make this work and that we will be successful with our project. The only person I know is Wyatt. He and I have been friends for years. While never being in the same class, we should be able to work together. I look forward to working on this project and working with this group
